hope + colin = love at the red setter resort in trent river

october the third two thousand and 9 was an absolutely incredible day! i had the priviledge of shooting a wedding at my uncle’s trailer park in the havelock/campbellford area. i had mentioned in a post several months ago when i did their engagement session that this wedding would be pretty special to me because it’s where i proposed to my wife almost 9 years ago… wow, did i just say 9 years ago… i feel so old.

anyways quick story about the wedding day and evening leading up to it before some pics and their wedding slideshow. i arrived on the friday night before the wedding to spend some time with my family that i hadn’t seen since probably christmas time the previous year due to an incredible abundance of work.. anyways, the friday night i arrived, it was pouring rain, crazy pouring rain. their plan was to have an outdoor ceremony but if it rained it would have to be moved into the rec hall.. not necessarily the nicest setting for a wedding, but would have to do under the circumstances. the weather predictions for the next day were torrential downpour all day.. wow, what were we going to do? anyways, we all prayed the night before the wedding for a beautiful day.. and God answered all of our prayers. we woke up the next morning to a beautiful day, all the family helped carry the chairs down to the water area so we could have our outdoor wedding after all! this was such an answer to prayer, because as we wrapped up their photoshoot in the town of havelock, on our way back to the park, the rain was coming down so hard i couldn’t see more then 5 feet in front of my truck! it was perfect timing.. God is perfect! anyways you will see the sky in a couple of the photos just before the skies opened and rained for the next 14 hours.

Enjoy!
