one cold winter day, yes i mean ONE cold winter day, seems like the only one we’ve had so far in 2010.. was the night i had the pleasure of shooting rakhee and rick’s engagement party. it was held at THE HOST restaurant in mississauga in one of their intimate banquet halls. it was a very intimate gathering of family and close friends that got to witness rakhee and rick become officially engaged! i had an amazing evening, and got to meet some of their family that i will see over and over this year, as i will be shooting a total of 5 events for them… i can’t wait! the engagement party was just a prelude of events to come… and this girl has it all planned out, details, details, details…. colours, beautiful bright colours… a photographers dream![]()
i met rakhee and rick a couple of months back when they were referred to me through rakhee’s cousin, sonia… whose wedding i will be shooting this summer as well.. actually within the same couple of weeks as rakhee’s. let me give you a heads up on something… i keep rolling this through my head and it’s going to be one crazy end of june beginning of july for me…. here it is in a nutshell… from june 8th to the 15th i will be shooting my brother in law’s wedding down at the majestic colonial in dominican republic, when i return, i have 14 events to shoot between june 24th and july 10th… not a big deal right, i should be used to that by now… but throw a baby in the mix of all of that, and it’s a little stressful…. yes, we are having our second child sometime the end of june, first of july!!!!!!! now, my son, jaxsen was born 3 weeks early, so if that happens again, i will be in the dominican while my wife has our second… hmm, think i’m going to be in trouble? and if she goes into labour in or around her actual due date of July 1st, i’m going to be one busy photographer/dad/dad2B….. wow.. okay, enough of my boring details for you, and onto a beautiful indian engagement party!
an amazing time was had by all! congrats to my awesome couple rakhee and rick…. enjoy!!!!

when i started off this post, i mentioned that it was freezing cold that night, and believe me it was, just ask rakhee
we had a few minutes while their guests were getting dinner, and seeing as how it was fairly busy inside, we went outside and braved the frigid temperatures for a few pics… rakhee — you rock! i don’t know how you did it, but i’m glad you managed for a few minutes! again, guys…. thanks so much for including me in one of your many special days!
